3. App Privacy

3.1 Local-first storage

FreeWOD stores training data, PRs, stats, notes, and settings locally on your device. There is no account system and no cloud server that receives your workout data.

3.2 App Store and Google Play

For Apple App Store and Google Play disclosures, the key question is whether data is transmitted off the device to us or to third parties. As of this policy, FreeWOD processes workout data, fitness data, settings, and entries locally on your device and does not transmit them to our servers.

If a future app version adds cloud sync, analytics, or other external services, both this policy and the store privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.

3.3 Deletion

You can delete your training data inside the app. When you uninstall the app, all locally stored app data is removed from your device unless your operating system keeps a device backup under its own settings.

3.4 Export, import, and sharing

Your training data is not automatically sent to us or sold to third parties. Data leaves your device only when you explicitly trigger it, for example by exporting a JSON backup, sharing an exported file through operating system features, or importing a file you previously exported.

Purchases and subscriptions are not active in FreeWOD 1.0.0. If in-app purchases are added later, payment processing will be handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy terms. FreeWOD itself does not process payment card data.

4. Website Privacy

4.1 Hosting

The website freewod.com is hosted by an external hosting provider. Personal data processed on this website may include IP addresses, contact requests, metadata, communication data, and technical request data.

4.2 Server log files

The hosting provider automatically stores technical request information in server log files, such as browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the request, and IP address.

These data are not merged with other data sources. Retention depends on the hosting provider's technical configuration and is limited to what is necessary for secure operation and troubleshooting of the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4.3 Cookies and analytics

This website currently does not set its own cookies and does not use Google Analytics or comparable analytics tools. There is therefore no cookie banner and no analytics cookie on the current website.

If optional analytics or marketing services are added later, this policy will be updated before they are used, and consent will be requested where legally required.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
